Here's what's actually coming, what's confirmed versus reported, and which of these genuinely matter rather than just being large.
The one with the firmest date. Robert Downey Jr. returns to the MCU as Doctor Doom — not as Iron Man — with the Russo Brothers directing.

Why it matters: this is the payoff film for everything Marvel has built since Endgame. The Multiverse Saga has been criticized for incoherence, and Doomsday is where it either pulls together or doesn't.

Denis Villeneuve closes the trilogy, with Timothée Chalamet's Paul Atreides now Emperor and presiding over a holy war he spent two films trying to prevent.

Why it matters: this is the film the whole trilogy was built for. Frank Herbert's story was always a warning about charismatic leaders, and Part Three is where that argument has to land. It's an unusually difficult thing for a blockbuster to attempt.
No firm date confirmed. Villeneuve does not rush post-production, and the studio has protected his windows before.

Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves return, with Colin Farrell's Penguin and a Gotham left flooded and broken at the end of the first film.
Why it matters: the first film worked because it was a detective story rather than a superhero one, and it committed completely. Whether the sequel resists the pull to go bigger is the interesting question.
No confirmed date. The delay has been long — industry shutdowns, a DC leadership restructure, and Reeves writing slowly.

Why it matters: Nolan following an Oscar sweep by adapting a three-thousand-year-old poem is the least predictable move available to him. Homer's fractured, non-chronological structure also happens to suit exactly how Nolan builds films.

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande return for the darker second half, where the friendship at the center fractures.
Why it matters: the first film proved a stage musical could work at this scale. For Good has the harder job — the second act is political and considerably bleaker, and it overlaps directly with The Wizard of Oz seen from the other side.

Why it matters: Marvel has attempted this team three times and never landed it. Galactus being played straight rather than reduced to a cloud is the signal that this version is taking the cosmic material seriously.

Being honest about it, size and significance aren't the same thing.
Dune: Part Three is the one carrying the most artistic risk — it has to make audiences turn against a protagonist they've followed for two films.
Avengers: Doomsday carries the most commercial weight. Marvel's dominance has softened and this is the film expected to reverse that.
The Odyssey is the most interesting bet. An original-scale epic with no franchise attached, at a budget where failure hurts, is something almost no other director could get funded.
One caveat worth stating: release dates for films without confirmed windows move often, and studios reshuffle late in the year. Treat anything without a stated date as provisional.
